Welcome to EAA Chapter 35
Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.
We have our own clubhouse with full kitchen, two restrooms and the clubhouse seats up to 80 people. Outdoor patio with large concrete grill pad for cooking up some great food and six large picnic tables too! Chapter building available for rental at a very reasonable price. We also have our own Hangar full of useful tools & machinery for members use. For more information on joining our chapter, please contact our Membership Chairman, Ron O'Dea at firstname.lastname@example.org or 210-488-5088. Chapter dues are only $24 per year.
Ah the holidays! We feasted and partook of great friendship and excellent beverages to our hearts content. Fifty or so of our members
turned out for pork loin, roast beef and a veritable feast of sides traditional and some not so. Followed by simply have to indulge in a bakery’s delight in pies, cakes and other totally fattening, but oh so delicious treats.
What a great Pancake Breakfast Fly-in, Saturday October 14th at the Chapter 35 Clubhouse! We served pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice for 59 hungry patrons. Low ceilings and fog prevented many from flying in, but we did have three aircraft arrive from far afield, including Chris in his Autogyro Calidus.
EAA Chapter 35 held a Young Eagles Rally for North West Bexar County, Eastern Medina County, South East Bandera County. Location: San Geronimo Airpark, 15464 Culebra Road, Time: Saturday, October 28th. Young aviation enthuisasts ages 8-17 were invited to experience their first flight, and 27 boys and girls did just that!
Chapter members, thank you for your support! We needed Pilots, Ground Instructors for Static displays, Ground Instruction Stations (Building Airplanes, Maintaining Airplanes, Etc.), Escorts, Marshelers, Registrars, Photographers and you were there!
