Pancake Breakfast Fly-In - Saturday April 14th, 9:00 AM to Noon
We had a great Pancake Breakfast Fly-in, Saturday April 14th at the Chapter 35 Clubhouse! We served pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice for forty-four hungry patrons. And as always, Pilot-in-Command was comped their meal. If you're spending $100 for these pancakes, it's all fuel. (must fly in from another airport)
This event was to feature the memorial Mike Logan Grinnin' Griddle, a 4-foot diameter monster machine powered by propane and electricity. Unfortunately, the weather took a turn and we moved operations indoors. A generous donation from Suzanne Logan, this griddle makes quick work of cooking flapjacks to perfection. For those who recall the monumental challenges we faced feeding nearly 200 patrons at Hondo in April 2017, this is the answer to our prayers. Thanks again to Suzanne and Irma Logan for their contribution and their support for our pancake breakfast last October. We're looking forward to rolling out this amazing griddle for the July Fly-In.
